DESARROLLA BUILDS A SPECTACULAR SINGLE-FAMILY HOME IN VEDRA OF OVER 500 SQUARE METERS. A PROPERTY CONSTRUCTED WITH TRADITIONAL MATERIALS AND ENRICHED BY A DESIGN WITH CONTEMPORARY TOUCHES
Honoring tradition is usually, by definition, a solid roadmap. Updating it, drawing from the past and looking toward the future, tends to refine that approach. And that is precisely what Desarrolla Obras y Servicios has achieved with the construction of a spectacular single-family home in Vedra.A building of more than 500 square meters set within an impressive plot of over 4,500 square meters. The project designed by Aestudio Arquitectura is a magnificent example of sensitivity and expertise. A fresh take on traditional construction, fully updated with contemporary design touches that give this single-family home in Vedra a unique personality.
The house has been built using the traditional materials that define the urban character of the area. Thus, zinc has been used for the roof, while the façades have been finished with granite blocks. Inside, the distinctive wooden beams on the ceiling reinforce this nod to traditional architecture.However, this commitment to honoring the past has not prevented this traditional home in Vedra from being given a distinctly contemporary character. The use of striking aluminum galleries that separate certain spaces, including on the façades, allows natural light to flow through.
IN L Y U, THIS IS THE SINGLE-FAMILY HOME IN VEDRA
The layout of the spaces and the very configuration of the house reinforce this design approach. The main building, in fact, is composed of a U-shaped volume on the ground floor, while the upper floor has been conceived as an L.The home also features another secondary, single-height volume connected to the swimming pool.The work of interior design by Myka Deco has significantly enhanced and reinforced this contemporary character. Designer furniture, a sophisticated interplay of materials, and an intelligent use of colour and light… The contrast between past and present gives this single-family home in Vedra a very distinctive identity.A house that, as could not be otherwise, offers a highly comprehensive programme of spaces. Four bedrooms (all en suite), a study, a spectacular 58-square-metre living room, gym, multipurpose rooms, swimming pool, a beautiful porch…In short, a property that has it all in an incomparable setting. A project that at Desarrolla we have truly enjoyed bringing to life.
