DESARROLLA BUILDS A STUNNING SINGLE-FAMILY HOME IN SITGES, WHERE THE PERFECT HARMONY BETWEEN THE VOLUMES OF THE HOUSE AND THE LUSH SURROUNDING VEGETATION TRULY STANDS OUT
Construction and architecture reach their pinnacle when harmony defines the project. When every intervention flows naturally into the next. When the narrative is pure coherence. One of our most recent works, a single-family home in Sitges, follows this path thanks to the meticulous approach taken to connect container and content in this house in the Catalan town.The powerful presence of concrete throughout the home has not prevented it from blending seamlessly with the lush surrounding vegetation: white pines, cypresses, olive trees, vines… Pure Mediterranean. The result speaks for itself.
The exquisite project developed by Rardo Architects has produced a design that moves between both worlds in a rational way. Without excess. Quite the opposite: this single-family home in Sitges connects the volumes of the building with an exterior where the lush vegetation immediately draws the eye.The house, with almost 300 square meters of built area, is divided into two main interventions: the building itself and the outdoor spaces. The main volume is a single structure arranged over three floors.The ground floor is home to the shared areas, featuring a generous double-height living-dining room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spectacular kitchen.
TERRACES AND GREENERY ENHANCE THE SINGLE-FAMILY HOME IN SITGES
On the main floor, a walkway overlooking the living room’s double height takes center stage, leading out to the spectacular outdoor terraces that are one of the property’s standout features. The rest of this level is occupied by the impressive primary bedroom, which includes a walk-in closet and a full bathroom.Finally, the lower ground floor of the single-family home in Sitges is dedicated to auxiliary uses. Here, both the charming gym and the sauna area stand out, along with the technical and storage areas.And while the interior of the house is a delightful interplay of volumes with a fully resolved program of needs, the exterior is no less striking. The constant presence of vegetation and greenery reinforces the project’s integration with its surroundings and creates a distinctive atmosphere around the pool.All in all, a spectacular project that we have been delighted to be part of.
