WHEN HARMONY BECOMES ARCHITECTURE. DESARROLLA COMPLETES THE CONSTRUCTION WORKS OF A SPECTACULAR SINGLE-FAMILY HOME LOCATED IN AMES, DESIGNED AROUND HARMONY AND DIALOGUE WITH ITS SURROUNDINGS AS ITS CORE PURPOSE
Architecture, like construction, finds its true purpose when it delicately and thoughtfully resolves the always complex dialogue with its surroundings. In the town of Ames, in A Coruña, our teams have just completed the construction of a single-family home that is an exquisite example of design and harmony.
The project developed by the studio of architect Francisco Galiñanes has succeeded in unlocking the full potential of a plot of more than 3,700 square meters.
Built on a ground floor and a semi-basement level, the home has succeeded in blending into its surroundings as a single, delicate whole. Subtle. A journey that connects indoor and outdoor spaces in a harmony nurtured by the meticulous design of the main volume.
INTEGRATION WITH THE GARDEN
The architect himself explains it when presenting his vision for the project: “Breaking up the main volume into several parts reduces the scale of the home and helps it blend into the garden, creating a variety of spaces. The selected floral and tree species are arranged with the aim of giving each corner of the plot its own distinct character.”
Indeed, the teams at Desarrolla Obras y Servicios brought to life a project that stands out for its meticulous dedication to creating a natural flow between spaces. From the cutting-edge interior rooms to the spectacular porches, gardens, and swimming pool.
All of this gives a special prominence within the building to the way light is handled. It also reflects meticulous attention to every detail, including subtle nods to traditional Galician architecture.
