SINGLE-FAMILY HOME LOCATED IN THE SPECTACULAR SETTING OF PUNTA CANIDE, MERA (OLEIROS), DESIGNED BY AESTUDIO ARQUITECTURA

The home, with approximately 300 m² of built area, is arranged over two floors connected by a double-height space that houses a folded steel sheet staircase. On the ground floor, at garden level, there are two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and walk-in closets, a library, a multipurpose room, a laundry room, and a boiler room. On the first floor there are two further bedrooms with bathrooms, along with the home’s open-plan living-dining-kitchen area. The façade is entirely finished in stone, combined with dark grey aluminium joinery. It is a simple stone-and-glass volume that opens fully to the sea through a large curtain wall. A motorized retractable awning in the same finish is seamlessly integrated into the volume.

The dual-pitched roof is resolved with a black pre‑patinated zinc sheet solution, with the underside of the eaves clad in solid iroko wood with a natural stain finish.Inside, the flooring on the first floor has been executed with multilayer oak-finish wooden boards, which pair perfectly with the off‑white lacquered interior joinery. The bathroom on the upper floor has been finished in concrete‑grey microcement, with concealed taps and wall‑hung sanitaryware. Of particular note is the distinctive granite washbasin set on a suspended solid acacia wood countertop with an oil finish, which enhances its natural colour.

The indirect lighting in most of the rooms is combined with adjustable track spotlights, giving the home a warm and welcoming ambiance. In the outdoor development, concrete walls are paired with the stone cladding panels from the façade and timber sleepers, creating distinct areas that form planters and gravel paths. Together with the dark grey polished concrete surfaces, they shape an immersive and inviting environment.
