The refurbishment of the Canary Islands Government Presidency headquarters has been completed
The building that houses the Presidency of the Canary Islands Government, located in a central square of Las Palmas, had numerous damp issues in the past. Therefore, it was essential to carry out a rehabilitation and a waterproofing of the facades and the roof of the building, actions included in the project by the architect Alfredo Martín Montesdeoca. In the collective imagination, the Canary Islands are a subtropical paradise where it never rains and the temperature is always between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius. And the truth is, it is indeed a paradisiacal place, but it's also true that, although it's not London, the islands do experience rain with some frequency. A reality that, coupled with the humidity associated with the island nature of the territory, ultimately causes damage to buildings if they are not properly protected. That is, precisely, what had happened to the headquarters of the Presidency of the Canary Islands Government.
