NEW OFFICES FOR LANDÍN INFORMÁTICA

Construction work on the new offices of Landín Informática in Pontevedra is already underway. And the truth is, this project is set to completely transform a large, as-yet-unfinished premises into a modern, light-filled workspace that is strongly connected to its surroundings. It’s not just about creating new offices: the idea is to build a place where the company can continue to evolve and where day-to-day work feels more comfortable, more natural.The future Landín Informática offices are located on the ground floor of a relatively recent building, in a particularly interesting part of the city: between Avenida de Buenos Aires and Rúa Vasquida García.Although on paper they are two separate units, in practice they form a single, generous space that allows the interior layout to be designed with great freedom. And in projects of this kind, that makes all the difference.The project design is the work of Estudio de Arquitectura Diz & Diz, which from the outset has proposed a very clear concept: to create a functional, contemporary space with a strong relationship to its surroundings.And this is where an element comes into play that, almost unintentionally, ends up taking centre stage: the River Lérez.

Orientation towards a natural space

The truth is that the river has had a greater influence than it might seem on the layout of Landín Informática’s offices. Many of the work areas are oriented towards this green landscape, as if the building itself wanted to open up to it.It’s similar to what happens in certain homes that seek out the light of the sea or the mountains: the exterior ends up becoming part of the interior. To reinforce that connection, the façade will feature large glazed surfaces that will literally allow natural light and views to flow into the workspace.But before reaching that final result, there is a significant amount of construction work behind it. The premises were practically a blank slate, so the initial phases of the project have focused on dismantling existing elements—suspended ceilings, joinery, and part of the enclosures—and preparing the structure for the new interior layout.One of the most interesting aspects of the project is the direct connection between the offices and the building’s car park. To make this possible, a dedicated circulation core with stairs and a lift is being built to link the ground floor with basement level -1.It may seem like just another technical detail, but in reality it greatly enhances the functionality of the whole: it makes access easier for staff and visitors and adds a level of comfort that is clearly felt in everyday use.

New envelope

In parallel, work is also underway on the new envelope of the premises. The façade solution combines a glazed curtain wall with ventilated façade systems, a blend that gives the building a contemporary, light appearance.In addition, this decision makes better use of natural light, something that always adds value when we talk about workspaces.Inside the Landín Informática offices, the layout will be clear and highly intuitive. A central corridor will run through the premises, from which the different areas of the company will be arranged: marketing, administration, R&D, and the various business units. It is a simple yet highly effective solution.Something like the backbone of the space.And the project is not limited to workstations alone. Today, an office needs more than desks and computers. That is why, at the heart of the premises, there will be a café area with a covered terrace designed as a meeting point. A place to enjoy a coffee, discuss an idea, or welcome a client in a relaxed setting.Complementing this core amenity are other spaces such as a training room, dining area, and even a small gym, which help to balance professional life within the work environment itself.

A contemporary vision

In total, the Landín Informática offices will feature over 2,000 square meters on the ground floor, along with a large parking area directly linked to the activity. A large-scale project that, beyond the construction itself, embodies a contemporary way of understanding workspaces.Ultimately, this is a project whose execution is both a motivation and a source of pride for the Desarrolla teams, and we would therefore like to extend our thanks to the project developers and the architects for the trust they have placed in our work.
