The oficinas de la Cámara de Comercio de A Coruña have undergone an interior renovation that combines architectural respect with functional modernization. A project that has transformed an iconic setting into a contemporary, comfortable, and light-filled space, without losing a trace of its original character.The building that houses the oficinas de la Cámara de Comercio de A Coruña is a 1969 construction listed with protection level II under the PXOM of A Coruña. Its essence, defined by structural sobriety and the balanced proportion of its openings, has been carefully preserved.The intervention has focused on an interior upgrade of the oficinas de la Cámara de Comercio de A Coruña. Located on the third floor of the property, they offer more than 600 square meters devoted to work and institutional services.
Renovate while preserving identity
The project began from a clear premise: to renovate without altering the identity of the institution’s offices. The structure, the envelope, and the fundamental spatial organization have not been modified. Ceiling heights, access points, and the layout of the main areas have been preserved, enhancing the sense of spaciousness and visual continuity.The intervention in this building, therefore, has not sought the prominence of a radical transformation, but rather the quiet excellence of an update designed to endure.Every decision in the interior design responds to criteria of contemporary functionality and comfort. The selected materials and finishes bring warmth and understated elegance. The new lighting and climate-control systems improve user comfort. And finally, the redistribution of the work areas promotes efficiency and internal communication.The result is a balanced whole in which technical and aesthetic aspects interact naturally.
