From everything to nothing, to return to a whole that is radically different. As visually appealing as it is functional in everyday use. The Desarrolla Obras y Servicios teams have just completed the full renovation of the dermatology clinic Julio Alonso in Santiago de Compostela, which today looks completely new.Located in the urban center of the Galician capital, the project was something of an all‑in bet. The owners wanted to completely erase the previous image of the premises and come back with a new identity that would combine elegance, usability…In short, modernity.
That’s why the work at the Julio Alonso dermatology clinic began by undoing what had been done. Desarrolla’s teams removed doors, cabinets, sanitary ware, tiles, railings… even the plumbing, lighting, HVAC, and electrical installations.The next step? Demolishing the brick partition walls, linings, the old aluminum joinery in the entrance area…With the premises completely stripped back, the next phase could begin. A stage designed to showcase the outstanding interior design work by Belén Sueiro.
A DERMATOLOGY CLINIC THAT GOES MUCH FURTHER
Based on a new more attractive and pragmatic layout that makes it easier to move through the clinic, new spaces have been created that immediately capture visitors’ attention.Beforehand, the entire facility’s systems had been upgraded and modernised: plumbing, electricity, telecommunications, climate control…On the more visual side, the interplay of neutral tones and darker woods gives clínica dermatológica Julio Alonso a distinctive identity where elegance takes centre stage. A quality further enhanced by the use of indirect lighting that brings a sense of warmth.That welcoming spirit one expects to find in a centre of this nature.The use of beautiful wrought-iron joinery to separate spaces and curved partitions in the circulation areas further enriches a building in which every element stems from thoughtful consideration.In short, a dermatology clinic that we have truly enjoyed delivering, and for which we would like to thank the owner and the interior design team for placing their trust in our work.Visit us at the construction company’s office in Santiago de Compostela.
