Concrete and nature shape this single-family home in Sitges
Construction and architecture reach their pinnacle when harmony defines the project. When each action connects with the next in a natural way. When the narrative is pure coherence. One of our latest works, a single-family home in Sitges, follows this path thanks to the delicate effort made to connect form and content in this house from the Catalan town.
The powerful presence of concrete throughout the house has not prevented it from blending seamlessly with the lush surrounding vegetation: white pines, cypresses, olive trees, grapevines... Pure Mediterranean. The result is strikingly evident. The exquisite project developed by Rardo Architects has created a design that seamlessly bridges two worlds in a rational manner. Without fanfare. On the contrary, this single-family home in Sitges connects the building's volumes with an exterior where the vegetation is strikingly prominent. The house, with nearly 300 square meters of constructed area, is divided into two main interventions. The one that occupies the main building and the one for the outdoor spaces. The main one is a unique volume structured on three levels. The common areas are located on the ground floor. An area where the large double-height dining room stands out, which also includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and the spectacular kitchen.
