HOTEL BAHÍA RENOVATION
OUR TEAMS HAVE BEGUN RENOVATING NEARLY ONE HUNDRED ROOMS IN THE PROPERTY. HOTEL BAHÍA DE VIGO, OPENED IN 1971, WAS THE CITY’S FIRST FOUR-STAR HOTEL.
Desarrolla Obras y Servicios has begun work on the comprehensive renovation of the Hotel Bahía de Vigo. Opened in 1971, the project will modernize an iconic establishment located in a prime position on the city’s seafront.
What was once the first four-star hotel in Vigo will retain its current size—more than 8,500 square meters distributed across 17 floors—but its appearance and the quality of its services will be completely renewed. The project designed by Pereiro Arquitectos will make it possible.
Our teams are actively working on remodeling nearly one hundred rooms distributed across the different floors. The renovation will provide Hotel Bahía with new amenities: multi-purpose rooms, a gym, connecting rooms…
The renovation will bring a radical transformation of its image compared to the current aesthetic, which had become somewhat outdated over time. New furnishings and finishes, fixtures, lighting… The new interior of the Hotel Bahía will be unveiled with a design fully in tune with the present day.
THE NEW FACADE OF HOTEL BAHÍA
But the exterior will not be left behind, as the project also includes a new façade that will transform the Hotel Bahía into one of the leading benchmarks in the city’s tourism industry.
The project that the teams from Desarrolla Obras y Servicios are already carrying out will mean a comprehensive modernization of the entire building. In fact, among the planned actions are improvements to the climate control systems, electrical and telecommunications installations, security, plumbing, and sanitation…
In terms of energy efficiency, solar panels will be installed along with thermal insulation that will enhance the performance of the entire Hotel Bahía.
Finally, in terms of accessibility, the improvements are also highly significant: two new elevators will be installed, and accessibility will be enhanced throughout the entire facility to make it easier for people with reduced mobility to move around.
Ultimately, this is a highly inspiring project whose execution we are especially enjoying, and we would therefore like to express our sincere appreciation for the trust that the developers have placed in us.
