DESARROLLA RENOVATES 45 APARTMENTS AT HOTEL BAHÍA IN VIGO
The teams at Desarrolla Obras y Servicios have just completed the full refurbishment of 45 of the apartments at Hotel Bahía, in Vigo. The units now feature a completely renewed aesthetic and a comprehensive range of amenities that also make the most of the impressive views they enjoy.The iconic hotel is located along the city’s seafront, just a few meters from the urban heart of Vigo. This privileged setting means that several of the apartments offer panoramic views over the estuary, where the Cíes Islands shine with a light of their own.
Several of the apartments at Hotel Bahía now enjoy views of this setting, enhanced by contemporary design and state-of-the-art features.To bring to life the project designed by architect Simón Pereiro, the Desarrolla Obras y Servicios teams first had to undertake an initial phase involving the complete demolition of all interiors. Partition walls, wardrobes, doors, taps and sanitary ware, tiling, exterior carpentry…
A BLANK CANVAS
All this demolition work made it possible to approach the renovation of each apartment as a kind of blank slate.
In each of the Hotel Bahía apartments, the structures and suspended ceilings, the floors, bathrooms and the charming kitchen connected to the living area, and the interior carpentry have all been renovated—works that are complemented by the waterproofing and insulation of every space.The project has also involved the complete renewal of all plumbing and drainage, electrical, heating, and telecommunications installations.The Hotel Bahía apartments that have been refurbished vary in size, but all now offer a service program that is as comprehensive as it is aesthetically appealing.In this regard, the project has opted for an interior design that relies on warmth and understated elegance.
