O SEIXEDO PEDESTRIAN FOOTBRIDGE
THE INSTALLATION OF THE PEDESTRIAN FOOTBRIDGE IN O SEIXEDO, LOCATED IN THE O SEIXEDO PARK (ARTEIXO), WAS COMPLETED WITHIN A 5-MONTH TIMEFRAME AND IS NOW FINISHED, DELIVERING A SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IN MOBILITY AND IN THE PARK’S SURROUNDINGS.
Installation of the cable-stayed pedestrian footbridge, featuring a steel structure and a 140 m long deck, located in O Seixedo, in the municipality of Arteixo, A Coruña.
The infrastructure, which provides pedestrian access between Vilarrodís and the O Seixedo Recreational Area by crossing over the AC-551 road, consists of a total of 7 spans, with the two central ones being cable-stayed. These stays run from the deck to the central mast, which has a circular cross-section and a height of 35 m.
DEEP FOUNDATIONS, NEW FOOTBRIDGE, AND COMPREHENSIVE RENOVATION WITH LED LIGHTING.
The work carried out has consisted of earthmoving for the execution of a deep foundation, as well as the construction of a supporting substructure and the deck of the footbridge. In addition, all elements have been painted, the existing handrail has been repaired, and LED-type lighting has been installed.
