THE PROJECT INVOLVES THE COMPREHENSIVE FIT-OUT OF AN INDUSTRIAL WAREHOUSE TO CREATE OFFICE SPACE ON THE MUELLE DE SAN DIEGO IN A CORUÑA
The former building, with a floor area of 700 m2, has been reorganized to house the new offices of four companies belonging to the same group. These offices include private offices, meeting rooms, changing rooms, a kitchenette, and a small storage area.The work carried out has encompassed structural reinforcement of the building, refurbishment and restoration of the façade, interior gutting, and both the layout and fit-out of the new spaces.
The refurbishment of the façade has included the opening of new openings and the enlargement of existing ones, seeking better natural lighting in line with the building’s administrative use. These openings feature aluminium joinery with thermal break, in harmony with the new exterior fence that has been installed.Inside, the sanitation, plumbing, lighting, and climate control systems have been completely renewed.Specifically, regarding these latter systems, the inclusion of an air heater connected to the ventilation system delivers a significant increase in the overall energy efficiency. The decoration and furnishing of the new interior spaces has been carried out by Buala’s team of decorators.
