THE PROJECT INVOLVES THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN OFFICE BUILDING FOR THE PORT AUTHORITY IN A CORUÑA, INTEGRATING BUILDING WORKS, URBAN DEVELOPMENT, AND BARRIER-FREE FUNCTIONALITY

Comprehensive project in A Coruña, where we have delivered the construction of the Port Authority office building, covering the project in its entirety, from foundation excavation to interior finishes, as well as the development of the surrounding urban environment.

The project, at the access to the San Diego quay, consisted of the construction of a two-storey building with a trapezoidal floor plan and flat roof, featuring a perimeter parapet that allows maintenance work to be carried out on the machinery installed in that area without the risk of falling from height. The building is free of architectural barriers, and the exterior joinery is aluminium with glazing that includes thermal treatment and solar control. As for the finishes, the flooring varies according to the use of each space, ranging from porcelain tiles in the offices to non-slip vinyl in the changing rooms, with polished concrete in the storage area.
The project also included the comprehensive urban development of the surrounding area, with the implementation of all sanitation, telecommunications, and electrical connection services. It was further completed with the installation of terrazzo-tile sidewalks and concrete curbs, as well as lighting provided by vertical pole streetlights with LED luminaires.
