VERSATILITY AND EFFICIENCY: DESARROLLA COMPLETES THE SPORTS COMPLEX IN UNDER 5 MONTHS
The new sports center opened in Pontevedra covers 5,700 m² and includes fitness rooms, as well as other areas designed to host the 200 sports activities offered at the facility. This comprehensive complex features two swimming pools and a Spa area, comprising a sauna, Turkish bath, footbath, hydromassage showers, heated loungers, and two hydromassage bathtubs.
Among the activities offered at the center, those designed for the youngest members of the household stand out, thanks to children’s areas and a playroom that provide the versatility required for its location right in the heart of the city. In fact, it offers special passes that include benefits tailored for families.
A new service for the Galician city that will enable every type of family to balance sport with their personal circumstances. Its prime location, right in the heart of Campolongo, gives the space a clear advantage over its competitors, as do its generous dimensions and carefully selected materials. ARCHITECTURE IN BALANCE: GLASS, LIGHT, AND HARMONY IN THE NEW BEONE COMPLEX
Without a doubt, the most distinctive feature of the project by Arealonga Arquitectura, is its main façade with a glass curtain wall, divided into asymmetrical sections by slender vertical “sails”, all wrapped in a ventilated three-ply façade in an off‑white tone. The remaining façades follow the same aesthetic line, adapting to the slope of the terrain and allowing, on the north side, access to the sports courts located on the upper part of the complex.The end result is a light, refined building which, despite its impressive size, is exceptionally bright thanks to the glazed enclosure and perfectly in tune with the renewed open spaces inside.We would like to express our special thanks to Serviocio – BeOne, a national benchmark in the management of sports centers, for placing their trust in Desarrolla and inviting us to take part in the execution of this project.
