Transforming the world around us is the result of many small actions. Of combined efforts and shared determination. Of a collective task in which everyone has a role to play. At Desarrolla Obras y Servicios we know this. That is why we have devoted significant energy to ensuring that the work of Life+ en el 2022 was once again focused on supporting sport and culture… but above all, children and the most disadvantaged groups.We have done so in a challenging year. Marked by instability and uncertainty. Yet driven by a clear purpose: to ensure that our social responsibility programme once again becomes a modest but meaningful support for all those people and organisations working for the common good.This is a brief overview of the initiatives that form part of the legacy of Life+ en el 2022.

Adcor, a step beyond

We started by recycling tarpaulins to give them a second life as bags. And we’ve taken it one step further. The collaboration between Desarrolla and the Fundación Adcor through the programa DLonas has led this year to the creation of new products: keyrings, catchall trays…Adcor is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to help improve the quality of life of adults in situations of dependency. And the people who work in its workshops have spent this year recycling many of our construction tarpaulins, transforming them into unique and beautiful items.Circular economy, sustainability, and social responsibility brought together in a single project.

Culture and entertainment with Trébore

As with Adcor, our collaboration with Trébore has once again been one of the hallmarks of Life+ in 2022. For 20 years, the workshops and training courses promoted by this social economy organization, managed by the Fundación Paideia, have opened a pathway into the job market for people with disabilities and vulnerable groups.This year, the Desarrolla-Trébore partnership has taken shape through an original project: beautiful coloring books for children. Designed and created by our colleague Xabier Cano, these storybooks showcase some of the most iconic projects carried out by Desarrolla since its beginnings in the city of A Coruña.In the future, it is very likely that this unique book will reach new cities where we have delivered highly emblematic projects.Trébore has been responsible for printing and bringing these distinctive coloring books to life.

Sport is Travesía Costa…

As has already become a tradition, one of the core initiatives of Life+ in 2022 in the world of sport was the sponsorship of Travesía Costa. The largest open-water swimming circuit in Galicia once again brought together thousands of athletes last year from all over Spain and Portugal.The events held in A Coruña, Oleiros, Balarés, Malpica, Ézaro and As Pontes were once again a success in terms of both participation and attendance. Travesía Costa has become one of the most important sporting and social events in Galicia since its inception. It is undoubtedly a source of pride for all of us at Desarrolla, given the firm support we have provided to its organizers.

…And also the Spanish MTB Championship for Local Police Officers

And we left the water to stay on land. Life+ also committed this year to sponsoring the 24th Spanish MTB Championship for Local Police. A well-attended sporting event that brought together hundreds of officers from all over Spain in A Coruña on September 23 and 24.The race took in some of the most beautiful spots in the city across its 10 categories. A fun event that we truly enjoyed supporting.

But above all, Enki…

It took place in mid-October. And it was much more than a race. Enki, the charity race organized by Fundación Abrente, brought together in A Coruña thousands of adults and children, men and women, boys and girls, people of all ages, to do sport for a greater cause.At Desarrolla we had to be there. And we were, supporting the event through Life+. Fundación Abrente promotes the inclusion of people with functional diversity, with a special focus on minors, through the practice of non-competitive physical and sports culture.

And to conclude Life+ in 2022: Mundo Juego

The intense year of work for the Life+ program came to a close on a high note. The major family gala sponsored by Desarrolla and RC Deportivo de La Coruña as part of Mundo Juego. The large-scale fair for children of all ages held at ExpoCoruña between December 22 and January 8.On the 31st, the collaboration between Life+ and Deportivo completely transformed the 10,000 square meters of play areas into an unforgettable year-end celebration.Desarrolla already had a very prominent presence at Mundo Juego through Blocks by Desarrolla and Trucks by Desarrolla. Two spectacular play areas where we immerse children in our universe: construction.Ultimately, Life+ has once again, for another year, become a great vessel of dreams. A driving force and an ally for the groups and organizations committed to making this world a better place to live.
