From February 26 to March 2, Galicia will become the epicenter of international cycling with the celebration of O Gran Camiño, one of the emerging competitions in the professional cycling calendar. Desarrolla Obras y Servicios has decided to renew its support for O Gran Camiño through Life+, our corporate social responsibility program.The cycling event will once again feature some of the top figures from the international peloton. Last year, for instance, the Danish rider Jonas Vingegaard (who came as the reigning Tour champion) gifted fans with a spectacular victory, dominating the competition's star stages with an iron fist.This year, among the global cycling stars who will ride through the Galician roads are Carlos Canal, Magnus Cort, and Derek Gee, among many others.

A tour that captivates

The 2025 edition of O Gran Camiño will feature five stages that will test the cyclists' endurance and strategy.

• First Stage: from Galicia to Portugal. For the first time, the race will take an international leap, with a stage that will connect Maia and Matosinhos in the Porto District, following the Camino de Santiago. A tribute to the union between Galicia and Portugal through sport.
• Second Stage: from the Rías Baixas to the inland. The province of Pontevedra will be the star of an exciting day that will start in Marín and conclude in A Estrada, showcasing the diverse Galician landscape.
• Third Stage: Time Trial in Ourense. The individual time trial will be one of the decisive stages, starting in the capital of Ourense and finishing in Pereiro de Aguiar, blending history with individual effort.
• Stage Four: the high mountain in Lugo. The queen stage of the competition will take the cyclists from A Pobra do Brollón to Pedrafita do Cebreiro, featuring challenging climbs that will define the overall classification.
• Fifth stage: finale in Santiago de Compostela. The crowning touch will be the stage that starts in Betanzos and ends at the Plaza del Obradoiro, symbolizing the end of an epic challenge.
